Portland Art Museum Free Night: It’s the fourth Friday of the month, which means admission is free from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
“Portlandia” and More: Mission Theater will host two screenings of “Portlandia” (7:00 pm and 10:00 pm), plus music, bits and gags from Reeltime Live before, between and following. Live music by Hello Lobster.
Saturday, January 26
Free Sealants for Kids (appointment needed): Portland Family Dentistry will offer free sealants for children ages 5 to 13. Call 503-284-3588 to schedule an appointment.
Fix-It Fair: Learn simple ways to save money. Free lunch, free childcare, free lead blood testing, and free bike tune-ups for students and families. Self Enhancement, Inc. (3920 N. Kerby Ave, Portland), 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Child’s Play Toys: Meet the Cat in the Hat at Child’s Play Toys (2305 NW Kearney, Portland), 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Model Train Exhibits: People of all ages are invited to view the trains, ask questions, and “drive” the trains. Children can bring their own trains to run on the tracks if they are HO. Lake Oswego Library, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Save Energy Fair: Learn ways to lower your home energy bill, and pick up a free Home Water Conservation Kit. Gresham Public Library (385 NW Miller Ave, Gresham), 11:30 am to 5:00 pm.
The Alphabeticians will perform their family-friendly rock-and-roll at Tualatin Public Library (18878 SW Martinazzi Ave, Tualatin), 1:00 pm.
Blackbird Tribute to the Beatles: Blackbird covers the songs that made the Beatles the best-selling band in history. Tigard Library, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
The Incredible World of Bugs: Join the Bug Chicks in learning all about the lives of insects, spiders and other arthropods. Woodstock Library (6008 SE 49th Ave, Portland), 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
Sunday, January 27
Crystal Ballroom Birthday: Free music at Ringler’s, Al’s Den, and Lola’s Room. History tours. Check the event website for schedule.
