This month

Lights on Peacock Lane: See the lights every evening today through December 31.

Christmas Ship Parade: Friday is the final day to see this parade of boats on the Willamette and Columbia Rivers.

Musical performances at Pioneer Courthouse Square. Friday and Saturday. Check the event website for more information.

All weekend

“Princess and the Pea” Performance (reserve tickets): Your last chance to see a live performance of “Princess and the Pea” at Theater!Theatre! (3430 SE Belmont, Portland). Go to the event website for information about reserving free tickets.

Saturday, December 22

“Arthur Christmas”: See this movie and enjoy festive snacks at the Tigard Library (13500 SW Hall Blvd., Tigard), 2:00 pm.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” (Free to Seniors): Hollywood Theatre will show this classic holiday film at 2:00 pm, and seniors get in free.

“The Mighty Gastropolis: Portland: A Journey Through the Center of America’s New Food Revolution”: Author Karen Brooks’ new book takes you inside the kitchens, lives, and recipes of Portland’s celebrated cooks. She will do a signing at Tasty n Sons, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
