Strawberry Festival at Lee Farms: Berries, hayrides, pony rides, bounce house, and more. 21975 SW 65th Ave, Tualatin, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Friday, June 15

Nuestra Canto will perform at the Lake Oswego Public Library at 1:00 pm. Nuestro Canto uses dance and music to introduce you to the geography, history, and culture of Mexico.

“Hamlet, Prince of Denmark” by Portland Actors Ensemble: Performance begins at 7:00 pm at Lone Fir Cemetery (SE 26th Ave and SE Washington St).

Frank Deford will talk about his memoir “Over Time: My Life as a Sportswriter” at Powell’s City of Books on Burnside, 7:30 pm.

Saturday, June 16

Register for Free Swimming Lessons: Portland Parks & Recreation is offering free swimming lessons from June 18–22. Registration is today (Saturday) between 8:00 am and 11:30 am at any PP&R pool (in-person registration only).

Ten Toe Guided Walk: Explore historic Stark and Belmont. Meet at Milepost P4 at the corner of SE Stark and SE 61st Ave at 9:00 am.

Guided Nature Walk at Tryon Creek State Natural Area: This week’s theme is Signs of Wildlife. 11321 SW Terwilliger Blvd, Portland, 10:00 am.

Free Admission at Oregon History Museum: See the museum’s new permanent exhibit, Oregon Voices: Change and Challenge in Modern Oregon History. The museum is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with special activities from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Berry Jam at Kruger’s Farm: Free kids jam-making class at 2:00 pm. Live music from noon to 3:00 pm. Pony rides, facepainting, u-pick, and more from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. 17100 NW Sauvie Island Road, Portland.

Kidical Mass Family Bike Ride: The theme for this ride is the circus, so dress up like a circus performer and head out. Meet at Arbor Lodge City Park (N. Bryant St & Delaware Ave) at 1:00 pm.

Summer Reading 100-Year Anniversary Party: Enjoy cake, games, and crafts. Central Library (801 SW 10th Ave, Portland), 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

“Food in Jars”: Food blogger Marisa McClellan talks about “Food in Jars,” a book of more than 100 recipes for pickles, chutneys, tomato sauces, nut butters, and more. Pastaworks (3735 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland), 2:00 pm.

Samurai Beat enTaiko Fundraising Concert: A taiko (Japanese drumming) concert. Donations are accepted. Portland Community College Cascade Campus Auditorium (705 N. Killingsworth St., Portland), 2:00 pm.

Tommy Twimble Solo Vaudeville Show: Thomas Schroyer’s style of physical theater combines elements of object/hat manipulation, mime, magic, live music, and storytelling. Beaverton Library (12375 SW 5th St, Beaverton), 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Captain Picard Day: Floating World Comics will host a contest of Picard-themed art. Doors open at 6:00 pm; judging starts at 7:30 pm. You can enter the contest by bringing in your masterpiece between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. 400 NW Couch St, Portland.

Pride Parade: The parade begins at 11:30 am on the North Park Blocks. Check the event website for route information.

Family Day at the Oregon Maritime Museum: Families of up to 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 14 get free admission to the main exhibit space. On the Willamette River at SW Naito Parkway at Pine St, 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
