Family Day at Washington County Museum: This month’s event celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Second Saturday at Vancouver Water Center: Meet reptiles you won’t find in your backyard. The event is from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a live critter show at 1:15 pm and 2:15 pm.
Living Greener Summit: Presentations on sustainable living and organic food, kids activities, free refreshments, free raffle, and more. Beaverton City Library, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Coolest Trees in SE Portland Bike Ride: An urban forester will lead this bike ride to the most notable trees in the Sellwood, Reed, and Eastmoreland neighborhoods. Meet at 9:00 am at Sellwood Park.
Walking with Ramona: Take a walking tour of the Northeast Portland landscape that inspired Beverly Cleary’s best-selling children’s books. The tour begins at Hollywood Library, is accessible, on flat terrain, and lasts about 90 minutes. Saturday, 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. Sunday, 4:00 pm.
Children’s Book Authors Rosanne Parry and Elizabeth Rusch; Metropolitan Youth Symphony: The authors will present their latest books and members of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony will perform. A Children’s Place Bookstore, 2:00 pm.
Life Is Too Short for Store-Bought Pie Crust: Author and food historian Jean Johnson will show how easy making a pie crust is. Then she’ll share her pie with the audience. Troutdale Library, 2:00 pm.
Sunday, April 10
Budgeting and Saving: Learn strategies that can help you save money and reach your financial goals. Capitol Hill Library, 2:00 pm.

Indiana Jones Trivia Night: The quiz will largely focus on the first three films, with just a dash of “Crystal Skull” and “The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.” Maximum team size of 5. Prize for the victor. East Burn, 6:00 pm.
Portland Mercury Yard Sale: From the staff at the Mercury: “We’re moving, and we’ve got all sorts of bric-a-brac we’d like to unload on you, like a Love Guru magic eight ball, Kung Fu Panda swag, dusty DVDs, shiny books, various sundries, and rickety furniture… umm, did I mention everything’s practically free? Plus, all proceeds go to charity, we’ll be playing four square, and drinking—it’ll be fun!” Portland Mercury parking lot, 605 NE 21st, 11:00 am.

Milepost five grand opening festival begins tonight at 7. the largest live/work artist studio building has completed construction. weekend long festivities include gallery/retail openings, live music, over 100 artists on display, literary readings, a dance party and much more.

Thanks for posting about Family Day at the Washington County Museum. For future reference, please note that Family Day runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (not 4 p.m.). It’s a fun event for kids. They always love the activities that Print Arts NW comes up with. And, of course, they love the hands-on history!
