Oregon Brewers Festival: In addition to beer (taster package must be purchased), the event includes live music, beer memorabilia displays, homebrewing demonstrations, free root beer for minors and designated drivers, and more. Tom McCall Waterfront Park, noon to 9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, noon to 7:00 pm on Sunday.

PDX Bridge Festival(view the website in Firefox): This two-week festival is a feast of art exhibitions, performance, speakers, and musical events celebrating our city’s bridges. Some events are free, including the kickoff party on Friday.

ArtSplash in Tualatin: Juried art show and family-friendly entertainment. Tualatin Commons, 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Saturday, and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday.

Moliere’s “School for Husbands”: Masque Alfresco presents a modern adaptation of this play every weekend through August. George Rogers Park Memorial Garden, Lake Oswego, 6:30 pm.

Friday, July 23

Free admission to the Portland Art Museum from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Milwaukie Daze: The first day of this two-day festival includes a carnival, petting zoo, and other kids activities. Events take place at different locations in Milwaukie.

Camas Days: This two-day festival features live music, kids activities, and more in downtown Camas. 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Saturday, July 24

Division/Clinton Street Fair: Parade, live music, kids activities, Lego exhibit, dance, and more. 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

JAW: A Playwrights Festival: Final weekend! Portland Center Stage presents new works in progress that will explode your expectations of what live performance can do.

All-City Skate Jam: Watch youth and teens from PP&R- sponsored skate programs compete in various events. DJ, food, prizes, and giveaways. Glenhaven Skatepark, 1:00 pm.

Star Trek in the Park: See a live performance of the classic Star Trek episode “Space Seed.” Saturdays and Sundays through August 1 at Woodlawn Park, 5:00 pm.

“Much Adoe About Nothing”: The Ops Fest (Original Practice Shakespeare Festival) will perform this play using the same techniques as they did in Shakespeare’s own time, which means limited rehearsal; an onstage prompter; fast-paced, energetic acting; and lots of audience interaction. Fernhill Park, 2:00 pm.

Milwaukie Daze: The festival continues with a parade, carnival, fireworks, live music and other entertainment, skate park, and more. Events take place at different locations in Milwaukie.

Celebrate Hillsboro Family Festival: Street soccer tournament, skate jam, kids activities, art and culture demonstrations, music and entertainment, and more. Hillsboro Civic Center, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Camas Days: The fun continues with a parade, bathtub races, live music, and more. Downtown Camas, 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Furnace Blast: Celebrate the completion of preservation work on one of Oregon’s oldest landmarks, the stone blast furnace built by the Oregon Iron Company in 1866. Music, refreshments, exhibits, furnace tours, and a blacksmith demonstration. George Rogers Park, Lake Oswego, 10:00 am.

Troutdale Library Grand Opening Celebration: Refreshments, a classical guitar performance, and kids entertainment including a visit from Curious George. 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Knights and Swordplay: Knights of Veritas bring the medieval Age of Chivalry to life through interactive educational demonstrations of arms, armor, combat, knighthood and chivalry. Tigard Library, 2:00 pm.

Kid Safety Tips for Parents: Join West Linn Police School Resource Officer Mike Francis for a free training on developing safety plans for your children. West Linn Library, 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Sunday, July 25

Pirate Party: For kids and families, the event includes a carnival, live music, and outdoor movie. Sellwood Park, starting at 2:00 pm.

Beaverton Civic Theatre Presents “King Midas”: Watch this live performance at Beaverton City Library, 2:00 pm.

Show for Kiddos: A variety show for families featuring the Alphabeticians and Mary Rose. Star E Rose Cafe, 10:00 am to noon.
