Friday, April 23
Free admission to the Portland Art Museum from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Awol One, Rafael Vigilantics, Sleep, Abadawn, and Hives Inquiry Squad will perform at Slabtown at 9:00 pm. Ages 21+.
Saturday, April 24
Earth Day 2010 Re-seeding Our World: Festivities include a visit from Mayor Sam Adams, live entertainment including the March Fourth Marching Band, bike parade, and more. Washington High School Field, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Willow Creek Earth Fair: See PCC’s new Willow Creek Center, the first LEED Platinum certified building in Washington County, and enjoy family-friendly activities, entertainment, and more. 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
82nd Avenue of Roses Parade: The parade starts at 9:00 am at Eastport Plaza and ends at Yamhill & SE 78th Avenue. Participants include the 2010 Rose Festival Princesses, Cinema Classics Car Club, and more.
Carnival Days: After the 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade, head to Eastport Plaza for live music, pony rides, classic car cruise-in, and more.
Mississippi Ave Spring Greening: Celebrate spring and Earth Day on Mississippi Avenue. Live music, free seed packets, clothing swap, and more. 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Kids clothing swap: Central Library, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
MusicFest: Watch young musicians and their bands vie for prizes and a chance to perform at the Rose Festival’s Waterfront Village. Portland Music Company, 5:00 pm.
Gresham Earth Day celebration and recycling event: This free community event includes exhibits, art, music, food, a recycling collection event, earth-friendly vendors, and children’s arts, crafts and entertainment. Gresham City Hall, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Costumes for Ramona: Make a simple costume inspired by Beverly Cleary’s Ramona Quimby. Gresham Library, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Thomas the Tank Engine party: Families are invited to enjoy a special Thomas storytime and imaginative activities. Capitol Hill Library, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Chief Redheart memorial ceremony: The 13th annual memorial to remember Chief Redheart’s band includes singing in honor of the ancestors, the Riderless Horse (Empty Saddle) Ceremony, the Sacred Pipe Ceremony, and recognition of veterans. Great Meadow in Vancouver, 10:00 am.
Keep Portland Beard: Celebrate the opening of an art show all about beards. Tribute Gallery, 8:00 pm.
Junior Ranger Day: Kids are invited to learn what archaeologists, park guides, and cultural demonstrators do at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
East Portland Homeownership Fair: This event includes home buying and home ownership workshops, one-on-one counseling, and more. Ron Russell Middle School, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Sunday, April 25
Celebrate the Earth: Take the whole family to Tryon Creek Park to learn about bobcats through arts and crafts, games, stories, and more. Come dressed as your favorite animal for an afternoon parade. 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Komedy 4 da kids: Families are invited to a bilingual and interactive performance of physical comedy, juggling, balancing and magic by Angel Ocasio. Midland Library, 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm.

Did I miss the Mississippi Ave Spring Greening event? Went down to Mississippi and there was nothing going on. Asked some locals, they had heard something about it, but no one was really sure.
Kinda disappointing since Mississippi usually puts on a good street fair.
