Make sure to check out History Pub this Monday at McMenamin’s Kennedy School! Beer and pizza is on the menu, and month the topic is “Women and the First World War.” Kimberly Jensen, a Professor of History at Western Oregon University, will share her vast knowledge of the various roles of women in the war. From serving in the military to volunteering at home and abroad, the First World War acted as an opportunity for women to expand their participation as full citizens for the first time. For more information on this month’s presentation, visit the Kennedy School website. Admission is free and all ages are welcome, and canned food will be accepted to donate to the Oregon Food Bank.
