It’s doesn’t appear to be widely advertised here, but F.H. Steinbart will be giving a brewing demonstration from 9:15am-1pm on Saturday, May 2nd. This is part of “Big Brew – National Homebrew Day” (http://beertown.org/events/bigbrew/)

I had a hard time finding info about it, but I got the hours of the event by e-mailing F.H. Steinbart. I did find the 04/09 agenda of the Oregon Brew Crew that mentions that they will be involved as well (from http://www.oregonbrewcrew.com/0409Agenda.txt):

“National Homebrew Day – May 2nd at FH Steinbart @ 9am
FH Steinbart hosting a brew demo inside
Ilan will host an extract demo
Shane Watterson will host an all-grain demo
Breakfast and Lunch provided by OBC
Contact Jeremy at FH Steinbart to come to parking lot to brew!
Will earn volunteer points for brewing in parking lot
10% discount on ingredients to OBC members brewing in parking lot
Contact Jeremy at FH Steinbart about bringing a corny keg of homebrew
    Will earn more volunteer points
AHA recommended recipes are Saison & Dark Mild (see website http://www.beertown.org)”

Sounds like a good, free opportunity to learn about homebrewing and perhaps taste some samples!
