Free Workshops on Lowering Energy and Food Bills

ROSE Community Development is sponsoring two money-saving workshops. Both workshops are free and open to all.
Weatherization Workshop
When: Wednesday, January 21, 2009, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: Lent Elementary School, 5105 SE 97th Ave, Portland
Description: Find out how to save money on your energy bills, keep your home warmer and conserve energy. Free childcare and snacks will be provided. Income-qualified Portland residents can receive a free kit of weatherization materials ($150 value).

“How to Buy Food on a Budget” Workshop
When: Wednesday, January 28, 2009, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: Lent Elementary School, 5105 SE 97th Ave, Portland
Description: Find out how to save money, feed your family, and eat healthy while shopping at the grocery store. The workshop includes a cooking demonstration, grocery shopping tips, resources, a raffle and more. Free childcare and a light dinner will be provided.
