Free Food, Discount Tickets on Election Day
November 4th, 2008
Several businesses are offering promotions on election day.
Free Food
On November 4, Starbucks will give a free tall cup of brewed coffee to anyone who asks for it. This Oregonian article talks about the deal, as well as the trouble that Starbucks found itself in when it initially said the offer was for voters only.
At Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shops, you can get a free scoop of ice cream from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on November 4. For more information, check the B&J website.
Krispy Kreme stores in Beaverton and Clackamas will give you a free doughnut when you tell them that you voted. (I assume they don’t know about Starbucks’ troubles.) For more information, visit the Krispy Kreme website.
Thanks to reader Cheryl for the heads up!
Discount Tickets for the Musical “Guys and Dolls”
From Portland Center Stage:
Between now and close of the polls at 8 pm Tuesday, tell the Portland Center Stage box office that you voted and you’ll get HALF OFF tickets to any remaining performance of Guys and Dolls. Or you can go online and put in the promotion code “VOTE” to get the same deal.
