Sept 29: Milagro Theatre Hosts Free Event With Spoken Word Artist Paul Flores

Miracle Theatre Group invites you to attend a free presentation by spoken word artist Paul Flores and local students beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 at the Milagro Theatre (525 S.E. Stark St., Portland). Admission is free; no reservations are necessary.

Flores, a poet and actor from San Francisco, will present at the Milagro Theatre a selection of work he generated with students of Cleveland High School and SEIS Spanish English International School at Roosevelt High School. Flores is a published poet, novelist, playwright, international spoken word performer and University of San Francisco Performing Arts and Social Justice instructor. Raised on the Tijuana/San Diego border, issues of immigration, border experience and Latino identity are central to his work. He is primarily recognized as a trailblazer in new Latino performance arts as both an artist and producer.
