Sept 25: See a Movie for 3 Cans of Food (Oregon/SW Washington)
September 17th, 2008
On September 25, Regal Cinemas will reward you for bringing in outside food.
The event is the Cans Film Festival 2008, a benefit for the Oregon Food Bank. At Regal Cinemas in Oregon and Southwest Washington, moviegoers will receive admission to a movie and a small popcorn when they bring in three or more cans or boxes of nonperishable food. The offer is good for all shows except for “no pass” attractions.
The Oregon Food Bank is most in need of soups, stew, chili, boxed meals, canned meats, peanut butter, canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, rice and cereal.
If you don’t have time to stay for a movie, you can still drop off nonperishable food at any Regal Cinemas location on September 25 from 11:30 am to 10:30 pm.
Find participating theaters here.
For more information, visit the Oregon Food Bank website.

Just wanted to throw out: You can also volunteer for the event! Give a little of your time (I have a 3 hour shift) and you will also get a free pass! A wonderful way to give back to the community, and the OFB is a great organization!

I missed out on this opportunity as I see this was posted in ’08. Not only do you get a free movie but you’re also donating for a good cause. Brilliant! Do they hold these types of things every year?
