Audubon Society Hosts Free Tours of Portland’s Great Outdoors

June 12th, 2008

Over the next few weeks, the folks at the Audubon Society of Portland are hosting free guided tours of a couple of the city’s natural areas.

Upcoming trips:

Monday, June 16, Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge
Saturday, June 21, Summer Solstice Walk, Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge
Wednesday, June 25, Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge
Saturday, June 28, Ross Island Kayak Trip

The Oaks Bottom trips are family-friendly, two-mile walks. The kayak trip makes me wish I knew how to kayak.

Preregistration is required. Check the Audubon Society website for more information.
