Friday, November 2

Saturday, November 3

• The 2nd Annual Vegan Holiday Festival is happening at Benson High School from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. You’ll get the chance to learn about the vegan lifestyle, as well as vegan resources that Portland has to offer. There’ll be children’s activities, cooking demonstrations from vegan chefs and dozens of vendors offering samples of vegan products. For more information, click here.

• Jackpot Records is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a free show at Lola’s Room. Grails, Eclipse, Saturday Looks Good to Me, We’re From Japan, and Dark Skies will be playing. • Los Porteños, Portland’s new Latino writers group, will host a free reading of new works centered on el Día de los Muertos at 4:00 pm at the Milagro Theatre. Joann Farías, Olga Sanchez, Emma Oliver, Francisco Delgado, Catalina Cantu, Cindy Williams Gutierrez and Veronica Swehla will read new, original writing. Sunday, November 4

• As part of the Siren Nation Festival, there will be free workshops at Kennedy School from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Siren Nation is a festival showcasing women’s music, performance art and film, focusing primarily on artists from Portland and the Pacific Northwest. The workshops cover a variety of topics including music, literary arts, body image, Qigong, sustainability, biking, and even mask-making. • Too Slim and the Taildraggers will be performing at Music Millennium at 3:00 pm. For more information, visit the Music Millennium website.
