Free Events This Weekend in Portland
August 9th, 2007
Before I get to the free events for the weekend, I just want to mention 2 things:
1. The Mississippi Avenue Second Thursday Social is tonight. Second Thursday Social is a monthly event where local businesses host music, art exhibits, wine and food tastings, and more. The action takes place on Mississippi Avenue between Fremont and Skidmore from 6 pm to 10 pm. For more information, click here.
2. The Bite is happening this weekend. Admission is $7 for adults, and children 12 and under get in free. I think this is a great price to experience the festival’s music and other entertainment. None other than 2007 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Patti Smith will be performing on Sunday. There are discounts available, click here for more information.
